You can read more about what makes an Irish whiskey unique in our article here, but to keep it short and sweet: Irish whiskey is typically a sweeter and lighter version of its Scottish counterpart. This is due to use of a combination of malted barley and un-malted barley in their recipes, as well as a triple distillation process. These are just stylistic choices when it comes to creating their whiskey, but they have a huge impact on the final flavor.
We’ve reviewed a good number of bottles of Irish Whiskey here on the site, so to help you find that perfect bottle for your St. Patrick’s Day enjoyment (or just because), here is a constantly updating list of our Irish whiskey reviews listed from highest- to lowest-rated.
